The approaching forecasts, whatever their genre, should guarantee an excellent 2022 vintage, one of the richest and most generous for a long time. Below are the most interesting and intriguing titles, which are sure to add to your library of the best PC games.
It’s obvious: from the announcement of Elden Ring and the integration of George RR Martin (the brilliant mind who delivered Game of Thrones to us) to the script, each new piece of information about this production has constantly hit the video game press.
Elden Ring is an open-world, dark fantasy RPG. It is supported by BANDAI NAMCO and developed by From Software Inc. Embody an aspirant to the kingdom of the Underworld, an ambition that you will have to carry by gathering the scattered Great Runes, only capable of restoring the Circle and the lost unity.

Redfall is the latest from Arkane Austin, the studio behind Dishonored and Prey. Distributed by Bethesda and planned for the summer of 2022, Redfall is an open-world cooperative FPS in which you must eliminate vampires with unique powers who have taken over the eponymous city, somewhere in Massachusetts.
You have the choice of playing as four characters: Devinder Crousley, Layla Ellison, Remi De La Rosa and Jacob Boyer, each of these hunters having their own weapons and special abilities.
The Callisto Protocol
Set in the PUBG universe in the year 2320, this immersive survival horror is being developed by new studio Striking Distance Studios (founded by Dead Space co-creator Glen Schofield) and distributed by Krafton.
In the uniform of a prisoner trying to escape from a maximum security penal colony located on the moon Callisto, you must fight your way through hordes of alien monstrosities, explore the colony and discover the secrets buried by the United Jupiter Company, a small group at the center of your troubles.
Although no specific release date has yet been announced, The Callisto Protocol is guaranteed to see the light of day in 2022.
Starfield is a new action-RPG developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. Since the release of The Elder Scrolls and Fallout franchises over 25 years ago, this is Bethesda’s first unreleased universe and it chooses space as its setting. You play as an explorer caught in historical friction between two major factions: the Freestar Collective and the United Colonies. Can you choose a side?
Starfield was announced at E3 2021 as an Xbox exclusive – but it will be available on Windows 10 and Xbox Game Pass from November 11, 2022.

The superb God of War, launched in 2018 on PS4, is finally ported to PC. This third-person single-player action-adventure game, developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive, puts you in the shoes of Kratos, a troubled ancient Greek god and accompanied by his son Atreus. Filled with side quests, intricate combat and a spellbinding storyline, it brings one of the most popular PlayStation games of all time to PC gamers.
God of War 2018 will be released on January 14, 2022 and you can already pre-order it on Steam.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction
The long-awaited Rainbow Six Siege spin-off is upon us! Ubisoft Montreal is about to deliver Rainbow Six Extraction, complete with stunning new enemies.
In Extraction, you play in teams of three to complete objectives while taking down alien factions known as Archaeans. All objectives and enemy placement are procedurally generated; there are up to 12 objectives to complete, including collecting information or items.
Scheduled for January 20, 2022, Rainbow Six Extraction is cross-platform. It will be available on the Epic Games, Ubisoft, Amazon Luna and Google Stadia catalogs.
Company of Heroes 3
The acclaimed STR Company of Heroes is back with a third installment, developed by Relic Entertainment and published by Sega.
Unlike previous versions set on the Western and Eastern fronts, Company of Heroes 3 is set in the Mediterranean, Italy and North Africa during World War II. There are a bunch of new features to test out, like the tactical pause and kill system, which aren’t just added for show. But also to provide greater strategic depth to the title.
There is no specific release date yet, however the game is expected to be released in the fourth quarter of 2022. In the meantime, you can wishlist it on Steam.
Revealed in a surprise preview at The Game Awards 2020, the sequel to Ark: Survival Evolved has been enthusiastically received. Many fans were impressed with its art direction and the involvement of actor Vin Diesel in the credits.
The story follows on from the latest DLC of its predecessor, Genesis Part 2. Explore the world, battle primitive creatures, build a base, collect tools and weapons, and marvel at its graphical prowess as well as advanced enemy AI.
Without a specific release date, Ark 2 will be released sometime in 2022.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt
After successful early access on Steam, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt will be released in Spring 2022. This free-to-play game is developed and published by Sharkmob and promises us endless hours of fun hunting down various vampire clans.
